Biography

The Journey

BLessJ, born Marvellous Omeh, is a Nigerian artist, songwriter, singer and recording executive from Illushi, Edo State, Nigeria, currently based in Milan, Italy. His artistic journey connects his Edo roots, the experience of the African diaspora and a growing global creative vision. His sound moves across Afrobeats, Afropop and Afro R&B, combining African rhythm, melodic vocals and emotionally honest songwriting. BLessJ draws from lived experience, exploring love, grief, loyalty, faith, struggle, memory, ambition and the desire to leave a meaningful legacy. He is also the founder and CEO of MVN NATION, an independent creative movement supporting his vision for music, storytelling, performance and artistic ownership. His upcoming single “FOREVER,” scheduled for September 1, 2026, represents one of his most personal releases. Written following the loss of his mother, the song explores grief, enduring love and the belief that a genuine connection does not disappear with physical absence. Its wider emotional meaning can also speak to family, friendship, loyalty and romantic love. From Illushi to Milan, BLessJ continues to build a catalogue grounded in African identity, emotional honesty and creative independence.

The Story Behind FOREVER

FOREVER was born from mixed feelings — grief, love, memory, pain, and the promise that some connections never disappear. The song was mainly inspired by the tragic loss of BLessJ's mother, but it was written with an open emotional language so listeners can also connect it to family, deep love, loyalty, or a relationship.

It is not only a tribute song. It is a forever message — a song for anyone holding on to someone, something, or a memory that still lives inside them.

"Forever is the promise. Let the world keep turning."
